Water Breathing users typically wield azure blades that mimic flowing currents, while Flame Breathing adherents carry scorching red edges. Yet, history holds no rigid rules; black blades, often deemed omens of misfortune due to the tragic fates of past owners, have occasionally signaled a unique potential capable of disrupting even the strongest demons.

The wind howled through the skeletal ruins of the temple, carrying the metallic tang of ozone and dried blood. Tanjiro stood amidst the debris, his hand resting on the hilt of his katana. The blade was black as a moonless night, seeming to swallow the faint starlight above rather than reflect it. He felt a low, steady hum in his palm—a silent promise of the sun's power trapped within cold steel. Suddenly, the air grew heavy with malice. A demon lunged from the shadows, claws raking sparks against the stone floor. With a sharp exhale that filled his lungs with crisp winter air, Tanjiro drew the blade. In an instant, the black metal flared with a faint red glow as he executed the First Form of Water Breathing. The swing was clean and silent, severing the creature's neck before it could regenerate.
