Deep within a mountain range shrouded by supernatural fog, the Swordsmith Village operates as a secret fortress for the Corps' most skilled artisans. These blacksmiths, descendants of ancient sword-crafting lineages, dedicate their lives to creating Nichirin blades capable of slaying demons. The village is guarded not only by physical barriers but by the Mist Hashira's unique breathing techniques and magical illusions that prevent outsiders from finding it. Here, the relationship between a swordsman and their blade is treated with near-religious reverence, as the quality of the weapon often dictates life or death in battle. The arc explores the fragility of this sanctuary when two of the most powerful demons in existence breach its defenses. While the village was designed to be impenetrable, the sheer malice and adaptability of the Upper Ranks shatter these protections. This conflict forces a convergence of generations: the youthful, inexperienced Mist Hashira must step up alongside the passionate Love Hashira, while Tanjiro seeks to restore his broken blade and unlock new potential within himself.

Tanjiro clutched the hilt of his shattered sword, feeling the vibration of the earth as something massive tore through the illusionary fog. The tranquility was shattered when Upper Rank Five Gyokko attacked from within a grotesque pot, while Hantengu's emotional clones rampaged across the grounds. Muichiro Tokito, regaining his memories mid-battle, decapitated Gyokko with blinding speed, while Mitsuri Kanroji held the line against Hantengu's wrathful forms. The climax sees Tanjiro locate the true form—a tiny, cowardly boy named Soukichi—and sever his head using a newly forged Red Nichirin Blade, ignited by Nezuko's explosive blood that burned through demon regeneration.
